30 Day Challenge

We love this gratitude challenge by Those Card Folks! Check it out:

"Have an 'Attitude of Gratitude' and join The 30 Day Challenge!

The goal is to take a challenge of gratitude. 30 days of being grateful. The 30 day Challenge is identifying one different person each day, for 30 days, and sending them a card to show your appreciation to them.

Join my team by signing up with a SendOutCards customer account (your cost = about $1/day) and then sign your commitment to send 1 card a day for 30 days using the SendOutCards system.

I, as your SendOutCards coach, will assist you to implement the first 3 days ensuring your successful use of the program.

After you complete the challenge, if this exercise hasn’t had a profound impact on your well-being you can ask me for your money back--no questions asked, but you must have completed the challenge for the complete 30 days.

If you would like to also share the 30 days of Gratitude Challenge with others and learn how you can make extra income, please ask me for details.

Realize that if you are grateful more often in your life, your life could be better.

Are you ready to get started? Please message us privately for information and to get started. Start this life changing challenge NOW!" -ThoseCardFolks, Facebook.com

Thank You Notes

Today we've got some Thank You Note tips from You're Invited Invitations By Design:
"Your thank-you notes should be handwritten and may be brief. Since you write the notes yourself, sign them with just your name. You might need to use your first, maiden and married names for some to recognize you.

A thank-you note contains four basic parts:
1. A Greeting - Dear Aunt Terri and Uncle Paul
2. A Note of Thanks - The crystal candlesticks that you gave us are beautiful. We really appreciate all the love that went into choosing them.
3. Mention of How Useful Their Gift Will Be - A place of honor has been reserved for them on our mantle.
4. A Suggestion to See Them Soon - Derrick and I plan on inviting you for dinner — and to admire our new candlesticks — as soon as we get settled in."

What to Know About Monograms

by Jennifer Sanford, Invitation Creations by Jennifer

Monograms are timeless, rich in history, and add a classic touch to almost everything. Designer monograms appear everywhere; handbags, ties, scarves, wallets, etc., but the beauty of a personal monogram is that it is, personal. It’s a great way to tie several different aspects of your wedding back to one theme. It can add the perfect, personal touch to your wedding by using it on stationary, dinnerware, napkins, floor/wall, favors, and more! It’s a great way to tie several different aspects of your wedding back to one theme!

Traditionally, a 3 letter monogram for a woman would use the first letter of her first name on the left, her last name in the center, and her middle name on the right. It is not until the couple has tied the knot when her monogram changes. After you are married, for your personal use, your monogram will remain the same with the exception of the last name. The center of your monogram will be replaced with the first letter of your married last name. Finally, if you want to include your husband in your monogram, your initial on the left will stay in place; your married last name will go in the middle, and the first initial of his name will be on the right

Monograms on your Invitations:
Combining the Bride & Groom’s initials in a monogram signifies union and the start of a new family. So ~ when brides come into my studio and want to use a monogram on the wedding invitations, most have not really thought this through. Even though you may see samples online showing monograms on invitations, it does not make it correct. It is my professional duty to explain that you that you are not that person yet. One year, six weeks, or day, prior to the wedding, your name has not changed, thereby, neither has your monogram. So when your guests receive their invitations, you are single and inviting them to witness your union as husband and wife, and Mr. and Mrs.

Plain and simple, you are not that person until you say, “I DO!” Once I explain this to you, and you still want to use your married monogram on your invitations ~ it is your choice, because they are YOUR invitations.
