Back in June, ClarksvilleBrides.com held it's Summer Social at Freedom Point Pavilion at Liberty Park. Michelle and Shane got married at Sugar Grove Carriage House in Oak Grove, Kentucky. "Our wedding package includes two days, the use of all the grounds, the pergola's outdoor wedding circle and the Carriage House which also has a large new open air covered porch area that is great for the wedding dance...We continue to offer horse and carriage rides for the bride and groom for entrance and exit into the ceremonies or however they desire to apply it. We have tables and chairs for 170 guests and provide the white table cloths with a small laundry fee. Our venue is in the middle of our farm with farm crops all around us, giving it a charming quiet and scenic view well off the road. There is ample parking in front of the farm residence with only a short walk to the wedding area. We are located convienantly between Hopkinsville and Clarksville and Ft. Lauren & Chris: The Flowers

Lauren and Chris hired Helen's Flowers to create their wedding bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and ceremony floral decor. "Lauren's bridal bouquet was hand-tied with white satin ribbon and made with white hydrangeas and one dozen white roses.

Her five bridesmaid's bouquets were blush hydrangeas with white roses hand-tied with ivory satin ribbon.

All the boutonnieres for the gentlemen were white roses and the corsages for the mothers, grandmothers and aunt were white, mini-rose wrist corsages.

When the guests entered the Smith-Trahern Mansion there was an all-white wreath to greet them. Also the letters "L" and "C" were moss covered. At the altar at the front door of the Mansion, material had been draped to create a focal point and masses of pink and green hydrangeas, berries, and roses were fashioned to create a tie-back for the draping material. Pink and green hydrangeas were also used on the aisle chairs with fabric sashes." -Helen Morris, Helen's Flowers

Leah Jo and Tim hired Debra Harris of Visions by Debra to coordinate their wedding day. "Leah Jo and Tim's wedding was rich with Irish Tradition. The most important element in the couple's wedding was to include their guests in as many facets of the celebration as possible. Beginning with the day it was held, St. Patrick's Day. The guests were invited to sample the local flavor, they were greeted with Welcome Bags at their check in at the hotel, filled with information on the area and items to refresh them from their long journey. (The Welcome Bags design mimicked the couple's wedding invitations.) Local wines from Beachaven Vineyard were offered to the guests at the couple's rehearsal dinner.

Kilts were the order of the day for the groom, his merry men, and several of the male guests. The bride and her maids incorporated the theme in the styling of their hair. Tucked away in the bride's bouquet was a horseshoe for luck. The guests were handed bells to be rung when the couple were pronounced man and wife. The ceremony in keeping with Celtic tradition included a hand fastening ceremony.

 At the reception each guest table included an Irish blessing to be read during the toasts by a representative from each table, there was a wishing tree which guests wrote their advise for a long and happy marriage, which were written on, you guessed it, four leaf clovers. If you're not sure what to do with the disposable cameras, try taking your lead from our couple: make it a scavenger hunt. Guests were provided a camera and a list of pictures to be taken over the course of the reception. Even the menu reflected the theme offering Sheppard's pie, bangers and mash, etc. The couple's wedding cake reflected the colors and lay out of their invitations. Away was the traditional parent's dance as the couple each danced with their Mothers simultaneously." -Debra Harris, Visions by Debra

Wedding Palette: Eggplant & Yellow

Thanks to Bethany Ann Photography for sharing this Eggplant & Yellow wedding palette with us! I love all of the natural elements in this palette. One of my fav details are the hanging mason jars. (see photo to left) The bottom of the jar is lined with rocks and the jars are filled with wild flowers and tied with raffia. I also really love how they didn't lay their eggplant runners & overlays flat - they bunched them around the centerpieces and scattered rocks across them. Another cute (and often overlooked) detail is the silverware. They wrapped yellow napkins around the silverware and tied them with eggplant ribbon. Another option that I've seen before is to tie the napkins with raffia to match the mason jars. It's definitely a great way to dress up the silver ware.
