Melanie and Steven hired Helen's Flowers to create their floral designs. One of Melanie's favorite details from her wedding day was that magnolia leaves were incorporated in their wedding décor and in her bouquet. Helen's Flowers will be exhibiting at this weekend's Clarksville Brides Wedding & Event Showcase! The showcase is this Sunday. January 14, 2014 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center from 12 pm - 4 pm.

Showcase events include a fashion show, live musical performances, bridal games, and our signature event, The Cake Dive. Alicia and Mike hired Bethany Ann Photogaphy to photograph their wedding day. "Some people come into your life at the exact moment you need. Alicia told me at the beginning of our relationship that she was unsure about what to do about her wedding photography when my email landed in her inbox. I had met her at the Clarksville Brides Bridal Show in January 2011. Alicia, newly engaged as of Jan. 1 2011, was so excited and eager to plan her big day. At the time, her wedding to Mike was one of the farthest out weddings I had ever booked. I am so thankful they picked me and that they trusted me with their wedding photography! :) Throughout all of last year I got to know them, via Facebook messages, text messages, and even photographing their engagement session and a family session last year. I feel like they are more like friends than clients! I love that! After being privy to their wedding plans for over a year, I was so excited when June 2012 rolled around. I just couldn't wait to photograph their wedding! And what an amazing day it was! Alicia got ready in Tanglewood’s bridal suite & salon and she glowed from the moment I arrived, until she left for her mini honeymoon with her new husband. When Mike saw his bride for the first time, I’m pretty sure even I had tears in my eyes. If you have witnessed their love, then you know how well they mesh and how genuinely happy they are together. Not only that, their sense of style and vision really translated into every aspect of their wedding beautifully. I adored the gray suits on the guys, and the teal dresses on the ladies. Plus, pinwheels as bouquets and boutonnieres?! Yes please! I adore brides who think outside of the box. One of my favorite details was the pinwheels in her bouquet! Her cake topper had a bride & groom on it with a replica of her bouquet, pinwheels and all! So clever! And the cake, made by Covered with Icing, was delicious by the way! :)

2013 Wedding & Event Showcase!

Who's ready for the upcoming 2013 Clarksville Brides Wedding & Event Showcase??!? We're so pumped this year about the new location of the show and all of the AMAZING new vendors joining us for the event. The bridal show will be Sunday, January 13, 2013 from noon to 4:00 pm at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

Admission is $8 per person at the door or just $5 per person for pre-registered brides and their guests. Brides, you can click here to pre-register for the event. Pre-registration not only gets you the discounted entrance price, but also grants you and your guests expedited entry into the show.

Fire & Ice Demo

Back in June, ClarksvilleBrides.com held it's Summer Social at Freedom Point Pavilion at Liberty Park. This networking event for Clarksville and Hopkinsville area wedding vendors featured an ice carving demonstration by Ross Wilson of Fire & Ice. Today we're featuring one of the many color palettes from our Color Palette Inspiration Boards on ClarksvilleBrides.com. Special thanks to Bethany Ann Photography for sharing this pink and green wedding color palette with us. The great thing about using pink and green in your wedding palette is there are SO many floral options for you to choose from. We love how this bride and groom opted for lots of different floral arrangements on their reception tables. Lauren and Chris hired Bethany Ann Photography to photograph their wedding day. "I am super excited to share some images from Lauren & Chris’ wedding. You may remember from their engagement session [click here to view their engagement session on Bethany Ann Photography's blog] how romantic I believe these two are. Their wedding day confirmed my beliefs. In addition to their heartfelt relationship, the details of the day also felt entirely romantic with pale pink bridesmaids dresses, flowers, decor, etc. And Lauren’s lace dress, paired with her birdcage veil, seriously melted my heart. It was perfect for her!

Their ceremony...at the historic Smith-Trahern mansion was intimate, with closest family & friends in attendance. When Lauren walked down the spiral staircase toward Chris, the entire room felt at peace. It was a sincere and emotional ceremony that everyone felt lucky to attend. After their sunset ceremony, they had even more family & friends awaiting them at their reception. What a FUN reception it was, too! I believe the guys danced just as much, if not more, than all of the ladies. One of my favorite moments, besides the actual ceremony, was their First Dance.
