The Cake Artist once again created clean, classic cakes that were not only beautiful to look at, but they tasted great as well! If you'd like to sample some of The Cake Artist's work, be sure to stop by their booth at the upcoming Clarksville Brides Wedding & Event Showcase on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center from 12 pm - 4 pm.

Wedding vendors, booth registration for the showcase is due TOMORROW, by January 6, 2014!! We have limited booth spaces available so please contact us asap to reserve your spot! Showcase events will include a fashion show, live musical performances, bridal games, and our signature event, The Cake Dive. I adore their clean and sophisticated wedding cake, and the green and brown go perfectly with their wedding color palette. I also love the groom's cake - it would be so easy to customize this cake for any groom...any groom that likes beer, that is. :) The Cake Artist could easily decorate the bottle cap to match any groom's favorite adult beverage.

Jennifer & Gavin: The Cakes

Jennifer & Gavin had a couple of gorgeous wedding cakes at their reception, including their traditional wedding cake, consisting of 4 tiers and 150 servings. Their flavors were Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Pumpkin Spice for the top tier. The cake was decorated with Handmade Vanilla Buttercream icing and rested on a square silver plateau.

One of my favorite features of this wedding was Betsy and Kenny's cake by The Cake Artist. The cake was designed to match the bride's dress and it is phenomenal! This isn't the first time The Cake Artist has awed us with her cake artistry. The Cake Artist won this year's wedding dress inspired cake contest at the 2011 Clarksville Brides Wedding & Event Showcase. Preparations have already begun for the 2012 Showcase, so be sure to Save the Date - January 15, 2012 - for next years show!

I'm pretty sure that everybody loves a good groom's cake - the design of the cake is not only a reflection of the groom's hobbies, interests, personality, etc, but often, it also adds a bit of humor to a formal wedding reception. It's important that when choosing who will make this "gift" for your groom, that you consider both flavor and design. Fav Flav

I LOVE CAKE! But really, who doesn't, right? Asking me what my favorite flavor is, is like asking me what my favorite Led Zeppelin song is...I just can't choose! If any of you brides out there have the same issue (with cake, not classic rock), no worries! Your wedding cake doesn't have to be just one flavor! Last fall, Verna Chlupsa, The Cake Artist, created a beautiful cake for Andrea & James, each layer composed of a different favorite flavor. There was an orange tier, a lime tier, and a vanilla with raspberry filling tier.

I think a great benefit of having different flavors is the ability to appeal to more of your guests taste buds. As each tier was sliced and served, guests were excited to see what flavor came next! And if, for example, your Aunt Sally doesn't like lime, that's okay! She can enjoy a nice slice of orange cake instead. :)
